Hello Friends,
Every now and then we love asking our Servers for a drink recipe to share with you. We have shared many exotic and tropical concoctions in the last few years and thought we would share a simple and elegant cocktail recipe for you – the Classic Daiquiri made by our Servers at The Inn.
This lovely cocktail is considered one of the most quintessential rum cocktails out there!

The Jamaica Inn Servers add Triple Sec for a hint of orange notes in the already classic drink – they also serve it up with two wedges of lime.
We asked Sebert at the Main Bar to make one so we could see the steps, and it is quite a simple and easy recipe. The cocktail itself is very lovely especially if you like a rum based cocktail. Adding the orange flavor with the triple sec only helped to enhance the top notes of the rum in the cocktail. If you find the drink too tart, simply sweeten it more – as there has to be a great balance of the three main ingredients which are: rum, lime and a sweetener.
All you need to shake up one fabulous cocktail is:
– A cocktail shaker or mason bar shaker
– Ice (fill the shaker quarter way with ice.)
– 1 1/2 ounces of a nice light Rum (not a white rum, and we used Appleton Estate Special)
– 3/4 ounce of fresh lime juice
– 1/4 ounce simple syrup
– 1/2 ounce triple sec
– Shake up together and serve up in a Martini glass with a wedge of lime – enjoy!

Sebert pouring the Daquiri into a classic Martini glass with two wedges of lime – such a lovely cocktail to enjoy!
The next time you visit us, remember to ask one of the Servers for a Jamaica Inn Classic Daiquiri, and we hope to see you soon!

Good Day:
My stay in February was so amazing. Food, staff, room and the weather was so great.
Would I be able to have the Planter’s Punch that Georgie was always serving with a warm greeting and smile. Also I had the salad at lunch with the herb dressing would I be able to have the recipe as well.
Thank you so much.
