All About Konoko Falls in Ocho Rios

December 15, 2015

We thought it would be fun to share information and pictures on a beautiful Attraction located nearby to us that you can visit when here.

Of course Dunn’s River Falls is world renowned and a fabulous place to see just to even say you went there and climbed the Falls!  However it is always good when we can offer you other alternative, maybe more intimate Attractions to visit also.

The wonderful thing about Konoko Falls is that there is so much more to see and hear about, by guided Tour other than just climbing Falls, so if you are interested in knowing more about the history of Jamaica, which includes a Museum about the Taino Indians with artifacts, maps and pictures –  or if you are an avid Gardener, this is the perfect Tour for you.

At our past two Inner Peace in Paradise Yoga Retreat’s – Konoko Falls was one of the two excursions our Yogis went to and the feedback has always been very positive about the entire property including the personalized Tour.

There is also a Zoo whereby you will be shown the Aviary’s and birds along the landscaped pathways – check out the Jamaican barn owl and other unique species…more animals will be added to this part of the Tour on-going.

Climbing the Falls is always a lovely experience and to end the Tour, delight in the lovely Columbus Cafe and Arawak Jerk Pit for some famous Jamaican Jerk Chicken, or a simple escovitch fish…(shown below with Bammy)

Make sure you catch Chef’s Cooking Demo on Friday’s where he always cooks up a Jamaican style menu – this is escovitch fish!

Information about booking this fabulous Tour is available at our Front Desk, and we will arrange – let us know when you check in!

    Hi My name is Neisha,
I would like to know the cost for children and also do you have a group rate? If yes please state the minimum required.
Another ques. do you open on Sundays, and plz can you give a landmark to your location?

    1. Jamaica Inn

      Hello Neisha,
The cost for children is the same as adults. We do have a group rate, the minimum of 10 rooms or more and there is a minimum 3 night stay. Our groups coordinator Tina Smith will be happy to assist with further details, her email address is tina@jamaicainn.com, feel free to call us 876 9742514 if you prefer.
We are open on Sundays and we’re located 10 minutes from the town clock. Drive straight past Eight Rivers Plaza Drive on the main road continue straight and shortly after that you will be on the Ocho Rios bypass going uphill.
About two minutes later you will see a Petcom gas station on your right this means you are on the right track Continue straight and after the Petcom in about thirty seconds you will see a slip road on your left Turn left there this is our road and we are the first gate on the left.
