On December 28th, 1958 Teddy Tucker commenced working at Jamaica Inn. It’s been 55 years and to celebrate this auspicious occasion, Owner Eric Morrow and General Manager Kyle Mais presented him with a watch.
Teddy, appreciative of the gesture commented, “I still have the bicycle that the owners presented me in 1982…” We all have memories of Teddy traveling to and from Jamaica Inn on that lovely bicycle. He even gave us a glimpse of it after the festivities – still in perfect shape!
Teddy reflected on his time saying, “I have enjoyed my years here and all of the repeat guests coming back makes me feel so good. All the celebrities visiting the hotel also makes me feel so nice. I just enjoy and have enjoyed every day so much.”
Many guests have commented on Facebook that their vacation would not have been complete without a chat and a drink with Teddy.
Thank you for being such a loyal and giving member of the Jamaica Inn family Teddy, and we toast to you many more years of wonderful service!
MANY CONGRATULATIONS TEDDY.
We stayed at the JA Inn on two occasions and one of our fund memories is sitting at your beach bar sipping your wonderful cocktails and listening to you telling us of your years at the Inn and also of your birthday card from your buddy Barak!
Wishing you lots more fabulous years at the Inn and hope to see you on our next visit before too long.
