Easter Weekend Activities

March 24, 2015

Easter is always a special time at Jamaica Inn, with much to celebrate. Discover some of the many resort activities going on Easter weekend, many of which are available year-round!

Resort Activities

As the flowers are in full bloom around the property, an interactive tour with our landscaping director, Mr. Henry, is a one-of-a-kind experience held every Tuesday and Saturday. Mr. Henry has been at the hotel for many years and is very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna unique to our island.
You will also be here for Shadow’s first Birthday, and we are sure there will be a special celebration for her!
The weather historically is usually of balmy breezes, high 70’s and calm seas perfect for trying out one of our new Boga Boards, or booking a fun fishing trip with Tony. Be sure to make some time to challenge Ruppie on the croquet lawn — he is hard to beat! And as you sip one of the famous Planter’s Punch cocktails from our Beach Bar, have a chat with Teddy about the history of the hotel — he has been with us for more than 55 years!
The ladies at the Ocean Spa are always ready to treat you to a decadent massage. Try the highly popular Ocean Combo Massage, which is a combination of Swedish, Deep Tissue and Reflexology!
For those who are curious about our divine Jamaican repertoire of dishes on the menu, our Shop and Cook Tour on Fridays is a must-do activity. You will head into town with Chef Maurice for a private tour of the farmer’s market followed by a demonstration at the hotel to learn how to makes some of the fabulous Jamaican dishes like ackee and saltfish!
If you are truly lucky you may even be able to witness one of the mama turtles coming in at night to make her nest….ask one of the beach attendants or Kyle about the timing!

Easter Sunday Brunch

In addition to the wide array of activities above, our decadent Sunday Brunch will be even more extravagent for Easter. Join us on Sunday, April 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reservations are suggested and can be made with the front desk.
