Getting ready for our first Yoga Retreat

September 10, 2014

Yoga Retreat month is upon us at Jamaica Inn, with final preparations taking place. To all guests participating in our first Inner Peace in Paradise Yoga Retreat, September 23 through 28, get ready for 5 days of yoga, sun, swimming, spa treatments, unique adventures and more!

On September 23, we will welcome you with a beach dinner party where you will meet your fellow yogis and prepare for your wellness-focused vacation in the days ahead.

Yoga classes

Yoga will be held twice daily, commencing early in the morning on the beach just as the sunlight rises beautifully above the Caribbean Sea, with the second class held at sunset.
Lead yoga instructor Sienna Creasy will share her knowledge and guide you to connect with your mind, body and spirit.

Healthy cuisine

A specially created menu of healthy island fare will be prepared to fuel you for days of activity and help your body recover from invigorating yoga sessions. Throughout the retreat, fresh coconut water and natural juices will always be on hand.
Each afternoon, make your way to the outdoor terrace and indulge in a traditional English Afternoon Tea, one of Jamaica Inn’s most popular and long-standing traditions.
Evenings will be spent mingling with your fellow yogis while dining family-style in the hotel dining room. Expect a wonderful lineup of dishes that will mix perfectly with the healthy theme of the retreat.

Included in your 5-night package is a relaxing Ocean Combo Massage. Treat yourself to any additional spa treatments as you desire, and be pampered by our award-winning Ocean Spa staff.

One afternoon, you and your fellow yogis will explore a nearby waterfall to swim, relax and have a fresh picnic lunch by the waterfall.
On Friday, join Chef Maurice on a Shop and Cook Tour of the local farmer’s market where you will purchase fresh ingredients before returning to the hotel for a cooking demonstration.
To conclude your time spent connecting with yourself and making new friends, you will get to release sky lanterns into the air to send out your blessings to the universe.
