Jamaica Inn – Backgammon Tournament 2016

We’d like share with you some exciting news on a very important upcoming event at the Inn. The Jamaica Inn Foundation presents its inaugural Backgammon Fundraising Tournament in Association with Jamaica National. This weekend event is slated to occur on property October 28th-30th, 2016. Both in-house and outside guests are welcome to register for this very special fund raiser. All proceeds will go towards the Jamaica Inn Foundation’s primary project being the creation of a Fish Sanctuary located along the northern coastline between Prospect Plantation and the Ocho Rios Harbour. The mission of the Sanctuary is “500 in 5”, which simply means we intend to have 500 percent more fish within the sanctuary boundaries in five years! Our goal is to have the sanctuary open in January 2017.

Details and Schedule of events is as follows:

Friday:
  • Welcome Cocktail Party starts at 6:30pm
  • Draw for Main Tournament  on Saturday takes place
  • Warm Up Tournament to begin at 8:30pm
  • Silent Auction begins
Saturday:
  • Complimentary Yoga at 8am
  • Main Tournament to begin at 10am
  • Lunch
  • Awards Ceremony starts at 6:00pm
  • Beach Party following
  • Silent Auction closes
Tournament Entry Fees:
  • Friday Warm-Up Event – US$75 (includes cocktail party and light refreshments)
  • Saturday Main Event – US$150 (includes lunch, light refreshments and awards ceremony)
Total value of prizes to be won is in excess of US$10,000!
