Beauty shotWe are so excited to introduce the newest member of our Jamaica Inn family, Shadow IV, a beautiful female Black Labrador Retriever puppy. Shadow was born on March 5, 2014 and hails from Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Our new and furry family member joins us from a litter of five other puppies. Her mom, a beautiful Chocolate Lab and dad, a stunning Black Lab, gave her two sisters and three brothers.

Shadow history

Shadow gets her name from a long-standing history of the breed being a part of the Jamaica Inn family and guest experience. It has been about ten years since our last Shadow, who you may happily remember as being involved in the day-to-day activities at the hotel.

We expect the new Jamaica Inn puppy, Shadow IV, to bring the same spirit, welcoming guests in the lobby, saying hello in the office areas and playing on the beach. In fact, General Manager Kyle Mais has already reported that she is “healthy, bouncy and very playful.”

We look forward to the fun times ahead and introducing you to Jamaica Inn’s puppy on your next visit. Please feel free to send your messages of welcome to Miss Shadow in a comment below!

Darling little one, welcome to our most favorite Caribbean hotel…
Not only did your sweet self delight us, but comments from
dear friends from the past thriledl me, as well. They are thought of lovingly and often.
See you in the fall, Shadow….time to hide our flips flops!

  9. Can’t wait to meet the new Shadow. We fondly remember her predecessors and the sign admonishing guests not to feed Shadow as we all wanted to of course!

Can’t wait to meet Shadow. What a lovely experience it will be to interact with her at JI, which feels so much like a home away from home.
Just seeing the pics of the sand and sea, make me long to be there in a beach chair soaking up the rays.
The staff of JI is exceptional and makes you feel at ease. Just what a vacay is about.

Wonderful news!!! We remember previous Shadows and think it’s fantastic we will have a lovely Lab to greet us next time we are at JI. We have two black labs of our own at home, and miss them when we travel. One of ours is a 6 month old puppy, so just to warn you, watch out for the chewing!!

Welcome Shadow! We fondly remember the other Shadows and for a while there, they were truly missed…Maybe, just maybe, we’ll be able to, meet her, if not I know that our son George will. Keep her playing on the beach.!
    Sincerely,
