The Jamaica Government and the Jamaica Tourist Board have recently updated the travel test requirements for persons traveling to Jamaica. All travelers will still be required to complete the Travel Authorization Form before traveling to Jamaica. High-risk countries are required to obtain and submit a negative COVID-19 PCR or Antigen Test result prior to check-in for flights. Antigen testing is more convenient and should make it easier for travelers to meet the pretesting requirement as it is much more readily available, faster and affordable than the PCR tests. The tests acceptable by our local Government are as follows:

  • A Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction Test (RT-PCR)
  • A Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAA)
  • An RNA or molecular Test
  • An Antigen Test

The date of the sample collection must be less than 10 days before the travel date and test must be conducted by a medical laboratory. Please see link to the  website for more information.
