Picture Perfect Competition Winners 2017

Hello friends of the Inn!
We would like to share a bit more information on some of our top contenders from our recent Picture Perfect Competition 2017. Every year we have the privilege of viewing some of the most beautiful pictures taken by guests on property. This year the photos covered Jamaica Inn’s breathtaking sunsets, culinary delights, lush landscapes, guests at leisure and spectacular ocean views. With so many great entries it was a difficult task to choose just one for our Picture Perfect Postcard.
There were five honorary judges this year who had a difficult time choosing the top three photos because of the number of high quality photos submitted. In the end, the choices were split amongst panoramic garden views and picturesque sunset views.

1st Place Photo – Ram S. 

 The first place winner is Ram S (Texas) who sent in the winning submission with the comment “This is the view you get when checking into the hotel…it pretty much says it all!” 

2nd Place Photo – Stefanie J 

The second place winner is Stephanie J. (Michigan), whose photo was submitted with the commentary “This photo was taken on the first night of our honeymoon in 2013! It was the most memorable trip we’ve ever taken and we can’t wait to come back one day!”

3rd Place Photo – Kim K. 

The third place winner is Kim K (New Jersey) and her entry was submitted with commentary “Capturing this moment was a once in a lifetime experience for me. Jamaica Inn is gorgeous no matter what time of day but watching the big orange sun set over the tranquil ocean while listening to the waves was magical. I have never felt so at peace and close to nature.Thank you Jamaica Inn for giving me memories that will last a lifetime.”

Most Popular Photo – Amanda C 

In addition to the many memorable photos this year that we had to make special mention of the most popular photo sent in by Amanda C with a total of 5253 reach points. Her photo was shared, 461 times by
372 of her friends. Amanda’s photo had the commentary “This was our view at check in, right after a heavy rain. Truly breathtaking!!”
Here’s a reminder of the prizes won in this year’s competition.

• 1st Prize – The winning photo will be converted into Jamaica Inn postcard and will be sold in our Gift Shop. The winning guest will also receive a 3-night stay at Jamaica Inn for travel between Sep 1 – Oct 31, 2017 and May 1 – Oct 31, 2018. Room category is selected based on availability. This prize is room only and does not include travel or incidentals. Prize winner may extend their stay at regular room rates.
• 2nd Prize – Two Jamaica Inn Polo Shirts and two Jamaica Inn baseball hats will be shipped to winner.
• 3rd prize – One Jamaica Inn Polo Shirt will be shipped to winner.
• Most Popular photo – 3-night stay at Jamaica Inn (inclusive of breakfast) for travel between Sep 1 – Oct 31, 2017 and May 1 – Oct 31, 2018. Room category is selected based on availability. This prize is room only and does not include travel or incidentals. Prize winner may extend their stay at regular room rates.
