Recently, Kyle Mais of The Jamaica Inn Foundation presented a check to Mel Tennant of The Oracabessa Bay Turtle Project as a continued effort of support for the preservation of the sea turtle population in Jamaica.
Mel Tennant was very appreciative of the contribution to which he commented that “it is due to gifts in kind from members of the community like Jamaica Inn that continue to help in the process of the conservation of the critically endangered hawksbill sea turtles on the Oracabessa Bay Beach and its environs.”
The Jamaica Inn Foundation was founded in order to provide support to the local environment as well as to create the opportunity for the Jamaica Inn family – both guests and team members to participate in the positive development of young people from the surrounding communities through contributions of cash, kind and labor.

Hi! We are an italian couple who are looking for turtle monitoring project.
We already worked in a turtle monitoring project in Mexico and we would like to improve our experience. We are very interested to take part of your project.
At the moment we are already in Jamaica, so we are available to start next week.
Please let us know if it’s possible to work with you.
Kind regards
Roberta and Daniele
