DSCN0023 (1280x960)One of the delights of staying in a top notch hotel like Jamaica Inn is to experience all the divine cocktails, with or without alcohol.

Our talented and experienced servers are always ready to whip up a delightful and unique cocktail. We asked Rajay to recommend a festive drink which is easy to make and he suggested a Sorrel Cosmopolitan – a mix of vodka, Grande Marnier and sorrel.
Sorrel is a perennial herb that is cultivated as a garden herb or leaf vegetable. It Jamaica it used as a Christmas drink and is made into a sorrel punch and sold in stores from November.  We are using the actual sorrel drink in this recipe.

A Festive Sorrel Cosmopolitan

Serves 1

  • 2 ounces Vodka (Rajay used Grey Goose)
  • 1 ounce Grande Marnier
  • ½ ounce lime juice
  • 3 ounces sorrel juice

Shake ingredients with ice and serve in a traditional martini glass. Garnish with a wedge of lime or a cherry.
