The moment we’ve all been waiting for. The baby turtles have hatched on our beach at Jamaica Inn.
The exciting event occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. directly in front of the beach wing.
Guests and staff alike were mesmerized as they witnessed nature’s tiny miracles start their epic journey out to sea.

Do you ever have hatchlings as late as first week in December?
Nancy, we did see hatchlings on New Year’s Eve a few years ago, but it is rare we see them that late in the year. Our turtle expert, Mel, says that there are 17 nests due for hatchlings between November and January. While these nests are not on Jamaica Inn’s beach, we do arrange trips to this nearby beach in Oracabessa if you are interested!
