The Gift Shop at Jamaica Inn is filled with charming and lovely items, most of which are made right here in Jamaica. We take great care to support as many local suppliers and artisans as possible. Here is a spotlight on a few of our favorites.
Christmas cards by Monex are made by disabled Artisans who place a high value on quality and craftsmanship. Monex Limited is the income generating arm of the Sir John Golding Rehabilitation Center which was founded in 1956 with the aim of providing ex patients with jobs.
The beautiful Batik products are made by Bette of Jamaica, our very own Gift Shop Manager, Robin DaComas. The batik is hand-painted which makes the line of clothing items quite appealing and unique.
The handmade soaps and containers in the gift shop are manufactured nearby in the hills of Oracabessa by Reena. The organic line also features bath salts.
Callaloo Ltd. is a unique and fashionable line of handmade items founded by Fashion Designer Sophie Eyssautier and crafted in Treasure Beach, Jamaica. We carry a lovely line of dresses, purses and children’s clothes.
A fabulous selection of spices, Blue Mountain coffee, one of a kind maps, quaint souvenirs, Ipanema sandals, toiletries and paintings by the multi-talented artist Hopeton Cargill can also be found in the Gift Shop.
Next time you visit with us be sure to stop by and browse. Nordia and Nikita look forward to welcoming you.
