Jamaica Inn Open 7th Annual Backgammon Tournament
In support of the White River Fish Sanctuary
The Jamaica Inn Open will be held for the seventh time June 14th – 16th with players competing for the winning title as well as a wide range of cash prizes & experiences. As it has been since inception, the proceeds of the tournament weekend will go towards funding the White River Fish Sanctuary, which aims to conserve, restore, and engage marine life in the local Ocho Rios area. This year’s tournament will be directed by Phil Simborg, the world's first “Professor of Backgammon”.
Entry Fees:
Warm-Up Tournament - US$90 Entry Fee
Main Tournament - US$250 Entry Fee
Professional grade backgammon boards provided for match play

Over a million dollars in cash & prizes to be won!

Friday 14th, June
3:00pm - Check-in for those staying on property (special rate available - please contact Jamaica Inn directly)
4:00pm - Silent auction is live (all proceeds will go towards the WRFS)
5:30pm - Lecture by Backgammon legends, Philip Simborg & Michihito Kageyama – Secrets to winning match play (free of charge)
6:00pm - Welcome cocktails & warm up tournament draw (round robin format)
7:00pm - Warm up tournament begins - separate seeded & non-seeded games
10:00pm - Draw for main tournament
Saturday 15th, June
7:30 - 9:30am - Continental breakfast will be available at tournament location
10:00am - Main tournament begins
1:00 - 2:00pm – Lunch
5:00pm - Tournament ends
6:00pm – Silent auction ends
7:00pm – Prize giving & closing cocktail party
Sunday 16th, June

10:00am Glass bottom boat tour of the White River Fish Sanctuary
