Jamaica Inn Foundation’s 10th Annual Backgammon Tournament

The Jamaica Inn Open returns for its 10th Annual Backgammon Tournament, June 18–20, welcoming players from Jamaica and around the world for three unforgettable days of competition, camaraderie, and island experiences.

Celebrating a decade of the Jamaica Inn Open, this milestone tournament promises to be bigger and more vibrant than ever. Players will compete for the coveted championship title, an exciting selection of cash prizes, and a range of exclusive experiences, all set against the backdrop of Jamaica Inn’s legendary island hospitality.

As it has since its inception, proceeds from the tournament weekend will support the White River Fish Sanctuary, helping to conserve and restore marine life while engaging and empowering the local community in the Ocho Rios area.

Adding an extra dose of international energy to this year’s celebration, Jamaica Inn will collaborate with Backgammon and Wax from the UK, bringing their distinctive spirit and signature good vibes to the tournament weekend.

The 10th annual tournament will be directed by Phil Simborg, the world’s first “Professor of Backgammon.” With his expertise, enthusiasm, and passion for the game, Phil will help make this landmark edition of the Jamaica Inn Open an experience to remember.
